This humanitarian project came about as the result of a chance encounter that had an impact on our vision of mutual aid. Keen to find opportunities for solidarity actions on Cameroonian soil, we went to meet MCH and were won over by the educational and highly inspiring concept they had put in place. Indeed, far more than a simple refuge, this children’s home is dedicated to the education of the children it takes in, while offering them prospects for the future through the learning of manual trades, particularly those related to agriculture: activities such as livestock farming, fish farming and food crops. These activities are integrated into the educational programme in order to encourage vocations among children who would be less academically inclined.
During our first visit, we noticed the lack of suitable sports facilities, and it became clear that the children needed a recreational space where they could let off steam and discover the joy of sport. Who knows, maybe some talent could also emerge!

After several months of planning and mobilisation, this project took shape thanks to the commitment of the Prosperi team, its partners and donors, but also to the investment on the ground of Simone, founder of MCH, and her entire team. Together we have turned a dream into reality!
This multisports ground dedicated to basketball, tennis and volleyball will be much more than a playing field: it will be a place for socialising, interaction and the beating heart of a local dynamic, because the children of the centre, who are used to taking part in various activities with children from neighbouring villages, will not be the only ones to benefit from it. Thanks to this field, numerous joint activities and friendly tournaments will be organised, making this space a place of connection and exchange where everyone, regardless of their background, can find their place and flourish.
