On November 12, 2022, Aurélien returned to Artigues-près-Bordeaux, a town that in many ways played a key role in his life.
Artigues is the town where Aurélien spent his childhood and early adolescence; a crucial period in life, when the first social and emotional skills are developed, the first socializations are made, the first experiences are acquired and the first friendships are made… As he says himself, even though he spent the first five years of his life between his native Rouen and Dijon, he has only the vaguest memories of the latter…
Artigues is also, and above all, the town where Aurélien took his first steps in soccer and achieved his first exploits in this discipline.
So it’s only natural that, as he reaches an important milestone in his career and life, he decides to return to where it all began, to recharge his batteries and commune with Artigues and the people of Artigues.
We are on the eve of the World Cup in Qatar, and at the same time, the beginnings of Aurélien’s commitment to associations are taking shape through the creation of his Endowment Fund; a structure designed to develop and support projects in the fields of education, health and sport, with the aim of contributing to the well-being and fulfillment of people in vulnerable situations.
In this context, he was welcomed to his club Société Jeunesse d’Artigues, where he obtained his first license, and announced the project to create Prosperi. In the name of this fund, he donated sports equipment to the 200 children enrolled in the SJA soccer school.
