Invited by Prosperi, Tombée du nid families from the Rhône-Alpes region attended the match between France’s Les Bleus and Germany on Saturday 23 March. According to the feedback we received, the children all had an extraordinary experience, each in their own way: managing the crowds, the noise and the novelty without crisis for some, experiencing a late evening and managing the wait for others… Generally speaking, everyone was happy to experience this exceptional moment and to see their association’s mentor “in real life”.
And for some parents, free from the burden of looking after their children, it was an evening of time off; an opportunity to organise a little outing or spend an face-to-face evening, watching the match or a film…
An invitation to a match is an ordinary gesture, but for children with disabilities and their families, it can have a huge impact on their daily lives. This brings us back to the wonderful intuition of Tombée du Nid, which works for these families and makes all this possible!
